Contracts & Procurement underpins the businesses mission of sustainable procurement practices that balance cost, efficiency, quality and risk. The team are instrumental in reducing costs while delivering projects faster and more efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximise commercial advantage to the business by developing relationships with senior Directors and major suppliers
  • Candidates should have significant commercial experience in both the IT and telecoms sectors, developing strategies to effectively transfer risk to suppliers
  • You will manage a range of procurement professionals and be recognised across the business as the expert in the supply markets in your portfolio
  • Own client relationships and work collaboratively with the business, leading the development and implementation of innovative category strategies
  • Identify and deliver agreed savings targets through the identification of cost reduction and efficiency opportunities
  • Sponsor the delivery of sourcing and post contract management activities to meet the needs of the category strategy
  • Provide visibility, insight and expertise into supply markets across Category Group and use this information and other available resources to constantly review trends, dynamics and significant developments to inform decision making and support customers
  • Develop a range of global strategic suppliers, and manage strategic and complex relationships to deliver business benefit and performance optimisation
  • This high profile role will see you leading the development of a more strategic approach to the management of major spend lines

Your Credentials:

  • To be an acknowledged market, technology and category subject matter expert
  • Track record of working with Senior Directors to drive business strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully engage stakeholders and lead the case for change
  • Proven track record of benefits delivery (financial and non financial)
  • Highly skilled relationship Manager with track record of building exec level and end-to-end client and supplier relationships
  • Advanced influencing and negotiation skills to develop mutually beneficial relationships
  • Maintains principles and demonstrates integrity under internal / external pressure
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent professional education, or experience
