Chicago, IL (5/10/06)- Chicago State women's tennis player Yosefin Rustandar has been named the 2006 Mid-Con Women's Tennis Newcomer of the Year. She also was selected to the All Mid-Con First Team.
"Eliza (Yosefin) is very talented," said Head Coach Titania Harris. "She's a hard worker and she deserved this honor very much... She was one of the best freshmen in the Mid-Con this season."
Rustandar earned a team best 10 wins this past season; including a 5-2 conference mark in singles. She also earned six wins in #1 doubles with partner, Christina Vlase.
Rustandar is only the third CSU women's tennis player to ever receive this honor.
