Men's Tennis Opens Spring Season with Two-game Road Trip

Chicago- The Chicago State men's tennis team opened their 2006 spring season with matches at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and Drake University.

The Cougars were dropped at Green Bay, 6-2, and at Drake, 6-1.

At Green Bay, the Cougars were winless in doubles with Dejan Avramovic and Abram Mamahit losing to Green Bay's Prudlow and Weist, 8-5 in no 1. In no. 2 Jonathan Sutjiadi and Nicolas Ortega teamed up in a 8-5 loss to Green Bay's Golden and Keesey. Chicago State defaulted no. 3.

The Cougars lost all but two of the singles matches. Nicolas Ortega won no. 4 by defeating Eric Hines, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1. Toni Todoric defeated Eric Plaushines in no. 5, 6-4, 7-5.

At Drake, the Cougars were defeated in all but one single match.

Toni Todoric defeated Chris Lueth, 6-2, 3-6, 11-9 in no. 5 singles.
